![]() There must be some bit of coding or something that WPS leaves in the document that MS Word doesn't eliminate, or whatever, that causes KP3 to glitch. I still haven't found a definite cause for my problem, except it might have something to do with WPS, which I used to start the document in question.Įven after opening and adding to it in MS Word, and using MS Word to finish the document - it seems to cause some issues with Kindle Previewer 3. They apparently have been swamped lately. Whether this was a KP3 bug, or some glitch in Word, I still don't know. I never had a problem with them before, but removing one of them seemed to help, as did clearing the Metadata. I suppose with an eBook they're superfluous anyway. ![]() I don't know if the page breaks made any difference, but I'm no longer using them, either. It's probably a good thing to do anyway, it's just unnecessary clutter to the file anyway. So if any of you ever find that KP3 gives you a black screen, or an error message, when you load a Word doc or Word html doc into it, clear the Metadata (using the "File" tab, and "Inspect Document" button). When I cleared all Metadata from the Word document, that also seemed to help, as after I cleared it, KP3 had no issue displaying the eBook. It either was a page break that it didn't like (I used to put in a page break after the opening title 'page' - something I won't be doing anymore), or the Metadata in the Word document was throwing the Kindle Previewer 3 off. ![]() It used to take a day and a half or so, now it seems when you click the "Contact" button there is no real way to contact them, you get a carousel of "help" suggestions instead.Įither way, I think I found the problem with my html document - the one that Kindle Previewer 3 wouldn't display. Their support system seems to be lagging, or non-existent. I still haven't heard back from the Zon's KDP support, either through the Kindle Previewer 3 "send feedback" function, or through emailing KDP Support through an old email. ![]()
